The definition of a Business Tsunami...

This is what I know for Sure…. The experts often DO Not share the secrets of surviving a Business Tsunami.

A survival plan for those hit by an Economic Tsunami…

A Business Tsunami is categorized as:
• Loss of “The Big Contract”
• A large client doesn’t pay
• What you thought was going to happen ….doesn’t
• You have absolutely No idea where to go from here
• You look around your business and it’s in complete and utter chaos

Well what we suggest is the following….. Never panic, ask for HELP don’t try to clean up the disaster alone. You have to let your ego and pride step to the side forget about the embarrassment and shame. Ask for the help you need… so you can move forward. Ask for help early; don’t wait until you are in “too deep.” What is most important is to be “Still” but in Movement. You ask, “How does that work?” it sounds like an oxymoron.

Well, consider this; Visualize yourself in a 12 foot swimming pool and picture this…you can’t swim. Many would naturally think they are about to drown, however, if you simply relax and not “fight” the water, it’s amazing…. you somehow float to the top in position to be rescued.

Now, the art of floating is to remain still but in motion so your body remains light, not stiff - this technique ensures you don’t sink to the bottom.

Not many of us in this Entrepreneurial world have escaped the tsunami of the economy. It is time to double check your survival kit and make sure you are prepared because if you didn’t get hit by the “first” wave it’s sure to hit you by the second.

Consider the following:

Raw talent is no longer good enough- You must become an Expert in your field; you must read- It’s estimated that CEOs read a minimum of four books a week.

Strategic Placement is Key- You must decided how to be effective in using your time from networking to social networking- there are so many resources you must decided which is best suited for your business and be consistent.

Are you serving from your cup or saucer- The fabulous Lisa Nichols gives a profound visual- The only way people can adequately serve is from their over flow so often we want to serve and give from our “full cup” however the “real” magic is giving and serving from what spills over (i.e. your cup is family, business and personal obligations). Once those obligations have been successfully met then you are free to explore other endeavors and obligations. If you are consistently serving and giving from your full cup…. just know you will only be able to “Give Half of your All”. In this tidal wave of business and current economic conditions there is a “no tolerance” policy for Mediocre.

What the experts don’t often tell you…. They too are struggling, what sounds good in theory is often times hard to apply to their/our reality; They don’t tell you that even the best on a worst day sometimes feels like giving up and throwing in the towel. What makes them the Expert? Yes, they may feel that way, only for a split second, however they quickly shake the feeling and “Figure It Out.”

They decide they will make their dreams happen No Matter What.
